BIG BAD BOB’S BBQ SAUCE has been over 30 years in the making. Bob originally started experimenting with different barbecue sauces because he couldn’t find one on the market he liked. Most were pretty bland or had too much smoke sauce in them. So he started experimenting and over the years came up with a BBQ sauce that his family, friends, and neighbors clamored for. In fact, every time Bob and his wife were invited to an outdoor outing or BBQ, he was asked to bring his sauce.

In the late 90’s, a new neighbor moved in named Mike Tamayo, of La Tortilla Factory. Many times, when he and his family would be barbecuing, Bob would hand Mike some of his homemade BBQ sauce over the fence. Well, they liked it so much, especially Mike’s daughter Gina Lisa, that Mike told Bob he should market his sauce.

Bob and Mike and many others in the background worked for over 4 years to bring this wonderful sauce to market. Bob’s wife and official taster, Darlene, named the sauce BIG BAD BOB’S and the rest as they say is history.
